Hello everyone! I’m back from an incredible adventure—traveling cross-country and living in my custom home-built van.
I’m beyond excited to reconnect with all of my friends and family after six months of exploring new places and dipping my toes in the sand from coast to coast.
This experience has taught me so much about who I am and who I aspire to be. It has deeply strengthened my passion for facilitating the practice of yoga and supporting students in their journey of self-exploration and growth at the Core Yoga Studio.
Hope to see you soon!

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a background in technical styles including ballet, modern, and lyrical, Darla brings a unique depth of body awareness and creativity to her yoga practice.
Since founding her yoga business in 2012, Darla has taught a wide range of styles—from powerful vinyasa flows to deeply restorative sessions—always with the intention of helping students feel strong, capable, and connected to themselves. Her classes reflect her belief that yoga is not just a physical practice but a path toward emotional and mental balance, confidence, and self-compassion.
Darla loves working with adults to help them unlock their own potential for growth and healing. Rooted in gratitude and guided by grace, her teaching encourages mindfulness, positivity, and joy—on and off the mat. She thrives on human connection, embraces creativity, and draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and travel.

Aurlie came to yoga in 2009 as a complement to long-distance running. Drawn by its benefits for strength and flexibility, she stayed for the mental stillness and deep focus it cultivated. While her miles on the road have waned, her yoga practice has only deepened. Aurlie guides students through intentional movement and stillness that emphasizes balance, body awareness, and presence, offering a practice that challenges both body and mind. She is grateful for the opportunity to share her love of yoga with her community
Core Yoga was founded to share the joy of yoga and movement with the community of Mt. Airy. Nestled among the quaint shops on Main Street, the studio aims to provide a welcoming environment and intends to grow with students in order to meet their needs.
Parking is available at the town municipal lot, or at the back portion of the adjacent lot.
